Hi, my name is Ms. Erinn. I graduated from Florida International University. My favorite aspect of teaching is creating genuine connections with my students and watching my students find joy and excitement in learning. I am extremely passionate about working with young readers on their emerging literacy skills. Reading and comprehension are the backbones of education and I love being that individual who introduces these young students to all the wonders and excitement that reading has to offer. I am a firm believer in a multi-sensory approach to learning as it allows students to take an active role in their learning and build connections between new information and what they already know. I am so excited to be a part of Tree Stars Learning, to not only evolve as a teacher but to also be a part of a community of like-minded individuals whom all share the same passion for teaching students.

I graduated from The University of Central Florida. Since I was little, I’ve always wanted to be a teacher; my mom's teacher in Jamaica inspired me to follow in her footsteps. My favorite aspect of teaching is the moment a kid’s face lights up when they finally grasp a concept or get an answer correct! I’m certified in 6-12 English education, and I’m gifted, and ESOL endorsed. I’m excited to work with Tree Stars because I want to work one on one with kids and build better relationships and stronger connections.

Ms. Thompson

I did my undergraduate studies at St. John's University and my graduate work at Nova Southeastern University.

I initially got my undergraduate degree in psychology/counseling but gradually transitioned to teaching when my daughters were in elementary school. I wanted a schedule that allowed me to spend time with them.  After I started working in the school system, I realized that teaching was a calling for me, and that's when I got my Master's degree in Education.

My favorite aspect of teaching is watching my students grow and get those AHA moments when they finally "get it."

In addition to being certified K-6, I have my ESOL endorsement, Gifted Endorsement, Reading Endorsement, and I recently finished training in Clinical Educator Development. I am also one of the coaches for my school's Speech & Debate Team.
